Out of the 120 applicants who presented for the second Batch of the Agrytech Accelerator, 29 teams (discover them all here!) were selected to go through this tailored program that allows entrepreneurs innovating in the agri-food sectors to turn their ideas into successful businesses.

The selected teams met for the first time in early June during an induction session held at Berytech Innovation Park – Mar Roukoz which hosts the headquarters of the program alongside to the Berytech Fab Lab, a fitted space dedicated for hardware and software prototyping. The excited founders were introduced to the different phases of the Agrytech Accelerator and to the Agrytech team who will be accompanying them in their 12-month journey.

The teams have accessed the program with their innovative ventures ranging from ideas to early-stage startups. Their innovations span across a range of agri-food sectors, from farm to fork, covering IoT, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Robotics, Remote sensing, Traceability, e-commerce, Data management, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, etc…

In this first phase of the accelerator, 29 applicants will receive $3,300 in grants, in addition to training and coaching sessions to validate their startup ideas. After these crucial two months, up to 15 teams only will move on to the second phase where they will receive an additional $16,000 and 4 months of business support to launch their startup. Finally, up to 8 startups will be shortlisted to join the 6-month incubation program and will benefit from up to $22,000 in matching grants.

The Agrytech Program is jointly funded by the Embassy of the Kindom of the Netherlands and Berytech.
