Supporting global efforts to make agricultural and nutritionally relevant data available, accessible, and usable for unrestricted use worldwide
Berytech joined the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) network recently, benefitting the Agrytech Program within its Resources Platform which promotes the transfer of knowledge related to the smart agri-food sector to the widest audience interested in launching their venture in this field.
The GODAN initiative seeks to support global efforts to make agricultural and nutritionally relevant data available, accessible, and usable for unrestricted use worldwide. The initiative focuses on building high-level policy and public and private institutional support for open data.
Through GODAN, Berytech joins over 600 partners from national governments, non-governmental, international and private sector organizations around the world that have committed to a joint Statement of Purpose.
“We are very excited to partner with GODAN and play an active role in promoting open data in the agriculture and nutrition sector worldwide,” comments Ramy Boujawdeh, Berytech Deputy GM. “We all have a responsibility today to find solutions for the worldwide food challenges, and open data will increase the effectiveness of turning research and published data into innovations”.
